ABOUT OLIVE
My works are shaped by culture, place, and the world as I experience it.
“

First and foremost,
I am a creative.
My name is Olive and I am a
proud Wurundjeri woman. I grew up on the North West coast of lutruwita (Tasmania) on beautiful tommeginne Country and it was there that I developed a deep connection to the land and a passion for storytelling through my art. I prioritise the celebration of individuality and believe that every opportunity, no matter how small, holds the potential for learning and self-discovery.

“
With a background in education, I am passionate about teaching and facilitating creative learning experiences. I believe that art is a powerful tool for connection, growth, and empowerment—especially when shared in community. Whether working with young people, peers, or broader audiences, I strive to create inclusive, culturally safe spaces where learning is mutual, curiosity is encouraged, and stories are honoured.
I’m currently exploring new ways to bring stories to life through collaborative projects and am always open to meaningful partnerships that centre creativity, culture, and community. I welcome opportunities to collaborate, exhibit, or share my work in spaces that value culture, connection, and creativity.

My creative practice spans a variety of mediums, guided by the belief that storytelling doesn’t fit into a single form. Whether I'm working with paint, digital design, textiles, or mixed media, each piece is an extension of my identity and a reflection of the world as I experience it - an invitation to slow down, listen, and engage with stories that honour both the past and the present.

My purpose, as an Aboriginal artist & creative, is to create works that reflect contemporary narratives of people, place, and Country. Through my artwork, I strive to create a space where viewers can connect with the stories I tell. Drawing inspiration from my culture and the vibrant landscapes that shape my identity, I aim to evoke a sense of belonging and appreciation for the beauty of my cultural journey.
Creative connection
is at the heart of what I do.
